How FedUp Foods and Heirloom Coffee Roasters are Reimagining Cold Brew Coffee

As our primary supplier, Heirloom Coffee Roasters helped us turn a massive goal into reality: introducing the first Regenerative Organic Certified® private label cold brew to the market.

When we decided to enter the coffee business, we knew we wanted to disrupt the conventional coffee supply chain.

Historically, coffee has been tied to deforestation, heavy pesticide use, and exploitative labor practices - all harmfully impacting ecosystems, communities, and future generations. To counter these systemic issues, we work exclusively with high-quality, mission-aligned growers and suppliers who care as much about the planet and its people as we do.

At FedUp Foods, we see the future of coffee as a shared responsibility and every decision we make today will affect generations of farmers, their children, and the countless other families who are involved in the coffee industry. That’s why we are passionate about Regenerative Organic Certified® coffee, a standard that goes beyond Organic Certification.

While conventional farming relies on chemical intervention, organic farming uses natural principles to sustain the land. Regenerative organic farming goes a step further by actively healing the earth, ensuring the highest standards for soil health, animal welfare, and farmworker fairness.

Regenerative Organic Certified® is a revolutionary certification that cultivates a more resilient ecosystem while supporting livelihoods through fair wages and safe conditions that farming communities deserve. Ultimately, this framework makes premium, planet-positive coffee accessible to more everyday consumers. By investing in regenerative agriculture and ethical sourcing, FedUp Foods empowers brand partners to meet growing consumer demand for products that reflect their values.

The Power of Partnership: Heirloom Coffee Roasters

Aligning with partners who share this dedication led us straight to Heirloom Coffee Roasters, premiere 100% Regenerative Organic Certified® coffee brand. As our primary supplier, they've helped us turn a massive goal into reality: introducing the first Regenerative Organic Certified® private label cold brew to the market.

As a third-generation coffee roaster, Hovik Azadkhanian founded Heirloom Coffee Roasters to ignite change in the industry. Driven by firsthand witness to the damage caused by unsustainable farming and unethical labor, he set out to prove that coffee could be done differently.

"Real change doesn't happen alone. It happens when farmers, roasters, and partners commit to a higher standard together. That's why our partnership with FedUp Foods is so meaningful. We're proving that regenerative coffee can move beyond specialty shelves and become the new standard for the industry."

From Soil to Cup: Crafting the Perfect Roast

What sets Heirloom apart isn’t just sourcing exceptional beans from Honduras, Peru, Colombia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua; it’s how they treat them once they arrive. Heirloom developed an in-house proprietary roasting process called The Culinary Roast™. It is a hyper-focused method that uses deliberate micro-adjustments to balance sweetness, body, and structure in every roast.

Heirloom Coffee Roasters states that “The Culinary Roast™ is built on the belief that remarkable flavor is the result of a seamless partnership between farmer and roaster, where every step, from the soil to the cup, receives the same uncompromising attention to detail.”

Ultimately, changing the coffee industry is a team effort. Heirloom Coffee Roasters and FedUp Foods collaborate directly on our green coffee purchases, leaning on Hovik’s longstanding, intentional relationships with growers. With our Regenerative Organic Certified® cold brew we can work together to support ROC coffee farmers and put these superior-quality beans to good use. From the depths of healthy soil to the precision of the roast, a cup of cold brew can leave the planet better than we found it.
